Harley E Houghton DDS

Doctor Harley Houghton was raised in Plymouth, Indiana and spent a lot of time in his youth visiting Newton County at the family farm where his mother was born. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the Indiana University School of Dentistry, he has practice in Rensselaer since 1982 when he purchased Doctor Steve Henley’s dental practice. He and his wife, Christine, have been married for thirty years and have three children. Their daughter Lindsey and her husband, Mark, live in Philadelphia while son Trent and his wife, Jordan, live in Dallas. Their youngest daughter, Britt, is in high school.

Doctor Houghton greatly appreciates those who work with him, saying. “I feel blessed to have such a great staff.” He believes that because advances in the dental field occur constantly, continuing education is of paramount importance. To that end, he has graduated from the Dawson Academy, attended several classes at the Pankey Institute ,and takes classes on a regular basis through the Indiana and American Dental Associations. He has been a longtime member of Dr. Gene Ranieri’s Seattle Study Club and of Paragon Dental Management group.
